Service Area · Union County
Union County seat sitework, from downtown and the Monroe Expressway corridor to Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport-adjacent industrial.
Overview
Monroe is the Union County seat and the largest commercial market outside Charlotte on the southeast side of the region. HD Grading works Monroe across a wide mix of scope, industrial grading near Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport, commercial paving along the US-74 bypass and into downtown, and residential-development sitework as Monroe's growth pattern continues to absorb former farmland north and east of the city.
Monroe is roughly an hour from our Concord yard, making it the outer edge of our daily-response radius, but also close enough that we dispatch crews here on a regular cadence. Union County is a serious market for us, and Monroe anchors it.
On the Ground in Monroe
Monroe's economy runs on a diverse mix that sets it apart from most Union County towns. Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport drives aviation-related industrial and logistics work on the city's north side, with hangar-grade pavement, taxiway-adjacent projects, and surrounding commercial inventory needing truck-rated sections. The Monroe Expressway (US-74 Bypass) opened up the city's east and south sides to new industrial and commercial absorption, and that buildout continues to generate fresh sitework. Downtown Monroe has seen periodic mixed-use revitalization, and the commercial corridors along Roosevelt Boulevard, Skyway Drive, and the US-601 connector to South Carolina carry steady retail and service work. Union County stormwater and erosion-control rules apply throughout, and the rolling topography around Monroe, more pronounced than the flatter Cabarrus and Mecklenburg terrain, makes grading scope less predictable and more skill-dependent. We bid Monroe projects with that terrain factored in.

Why HD Grading
Monroe is a serious market that's been underserved by out-of-county grading subs. HD Grading dispatches crews here regularly, and we've built enough of a client base to treat Monroe work like any other core market, same response time, same crew quality, same scheduling discipline. For Monroe GCs tired of delayed mobilizations and missed pours from subs driving in from further out, we're a reliable alternative.
Single point of accountability
One crew, one PM, one phone number. From clearing to final striping, HD Grading self-performs the entire sitework scope.
